My husband and I our first time home buyers, as this was our first home inspection. Historically I have had friends and family that had home inspections by other entities. Their responses were very distressing.
I must say that this was not my impression of Dickson Company. They were very thorough. The Dickson Company guided us with the entire inspection. I thought the inspection was horrible. For one, it says the inspection was by John Dickson when someone else did most of the inspecting, while Mr. Dickson observed and sometimes chatted on his cell phone outside. You claimed the refrigerator did not work and we scheduled someone to come out and it was working when we came to let the person in. You noticed defective drain stoppers in the bathroom sinks but not a leak from the upstairs bathroom which was noticeably dripping through the ceiling when you are downstairs. You noticed that there were no vents in the closets but did not mention the fact that there are no ceiling fans. For someone who prides himself on being a general contractor and an engineer, the inspection should have been more thorough. Extremely dissatisfied and feel like money was wasted on it!
