After having Dean inspect a property for us, I can only say that you need
someone that is only looking at facts
and is not vested emotionally in the
property. You are looking at a property with eyes on the whole site.
As a buyer you are looking at picture, and can miss details, because to a certain extent, one is
engaging in wishful thinking. This can cost you a lot of money in the long run. In our case, Dean found so
many issues that, added up, made us
realize that this place could end up
costing us much more than we planned.
We ended up cancelling the purchase.
This saved us more grief than the cost of Dean's inspection. A real bargain in my book.

As recommended on page 14, a consultation was made regarding the block in 1.2 Pictures 1&2. Upon closer inspection, what appear to be half blocks are actually full blocks referred to as bond beam. The blocks are therefore staggered appropriately.
It was agreed that the open spaces in
1.2 Picture 1 should either be closed or used to add to existing structure if desires.
