Buying a home is probably the most expensive purchase you will ever make.  This is no time to shop for a cheap home inspection.  The cost of a home inspection is small relative to the home being inspected.  I am determined to perform home inspections of the utmost quality, with integrity. I'll make sure that my clients will know and understand every relevant fact about the property that they are purchasing. I consider myself the buyer's advocate.  My job does not end after the report is completed.  Should you have any questions months down the road, I encourage you to give me a call and I will do whatever it takes to ensure that you are completely comfortable with the property you have purchased.

Manufactured Home Foundation Certifications

If you are selling or buying a manufactured home, then most likely a foundation certification will be required. For all FHA and VA loans, an engineer's foundation certification is required that states that the home is placed on a permanent foundation that complies with the "HUD Permanent Foundation Guide for Manufactured Homes", dated 1996 by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

This is an attempt to give an outstanding, over the top, review of our recent home inspector, Don Hester. First of all, he goes above and beyond because he is passionate about what he does and REALLY knows all there is to know about home inspections! I have purchased and sold many homes using an inspector for both buying and selling. Don Hester is by far the best ever used. As others have said, his detail work, thorough documentation and up to date technology tools are far above any I've used in the past. He patiently explains what he observes if you are onsight with him. His written reports include written documentation with supporting digital photos, and links for further information. He confirmed all of our concerns about an expensive potential purchase and pointed out other areas of initial building practices that were causing present day issues that would be costly to repair/replace. Being armed with that type of information allows a house buyer to make a more realistic purchase price offer. He sets the bar high for any other inspector. I would use no other person!

Don is wonderful! He is very thorough and leaves no stone unturned. Don explains everything and his report is very detailed with photos and specifics including explanations and even instructions if you are a DIY person. He even encourages you to video his inspection just in case you want to review it (not that you need to with his detailed report). Don will check any house I look at purchasing or selling from now on.
