This was the very best $275.00 I have spent in the last 20 years. I asked many people who the best inspector around was and Mark was mentioned every time!
When he showed up at the prospective home I was in a contract to purchase; he explained to me and my wife exactly how the inspection was going to be performed. When he started he immediately notified me and my wife that there was an issue with the foundation. He explained what was wrong. The homeowner had tried to do a cheap fix, but it was not the PERMANENT fix. The home had shifted, The cracks through the foundation and the outside brick were getting worse ans he showed me that the brick walls were actually still moving! I do not think any other inspector would have found it. His expertise saved me from making a $250,000.00 MISTAKE!!! Because of his thoroughness I was able to break the contract.

Now, this is a home inspector. We have now asked Mark to inspect two homes for us in St. Louis. The first one he inspected ended up being a total dud, and Mark was the one that found the problems that had been carefully hidden. He saved us from what could have been a major money pit. After seeing how detailed and thorough his inspection was on the first home, we went with him again as we continued our search, and he did not disappoint. He was exceptionally thorough once again and enabled us to confidently go into the closing of our home. This was the most thorough inspection I have ever experience obviously someone who has integrity and most of all wants and will do a professional job. His attention to details and knowledge is what the industry should require of all inspectors. He came prepared to get into craw spaces, climb on roof, inspect every outlet, plumbing etc. 2.5 hrs well spent. He is definitely the person to have in your corner when buying a house. I would not buy another house without him. He encouraged questions and allowed shadowing so he provide immediate explanation for anything he observed.
