Scott did a fabulous job with the mold inspection. Not only did he identify problem areas, but he spent the time to explain everything to us, including recommendations for what needed to be done with our cooling unit, water heater, etc. He is extremely knowledgeable and we learned a lot just in the time that he was here for the inspection. Furthermore, we have a newborn son in the house and he was very considerate in keeping the nursery clean by wearing shoe covers. Small thing, I know, but just knowing that he had thought of it in advance and took that extra consideration says a lot about his commitment to his clients. I thought Scott was fantastic during the walk though. He explained everything as he went along so when I received his report I had a great understanding of what everything meant. I wasn't blindsided by anything in the report. It felt good to have that reassurance. My only problem with the entire exchange was the timeliness of it all. We were told the report would be done at a certain time and it was not. After repeated calls that went unanswered we were told to wait a little longer. I'm still waiting to hear back from Scott about a radon test that I paid for a week ago.

Again, I will definitely be using this inspector again. Not all inspectors are alike. Scott Gilligan is the expert in his field and has a very broad scope of knowledge that can recognize the unrecognizable and hidden issues. This service was a very wise investment for my health and property included. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Scott in person, but I was extremely impressed with how much time he took to explain everything on the phone.
He didn't hesitate to explain to my realtor that the procedure planned for the mold testing was the wrong one and that it would be more efficient to do it in a different order to avoid the dissemination of spores.
I really feel that Scott went above and beyond to ensure that everything was done properly. He is obviously extremely knowledgeable and qualified in this field and I instinctively knew that I was in good hands.
